Kitty Hart Stoker has been in Scottish Highland Dance since the wee age of 3. Taught by her mother Florence Hart, originally from Scotland. Both are teachers, members SDTA,
and Adjudicators. During Kitty's competitve years, she won Championships in the US, Canada, & Scotland.
Including:
Mid-Canada Champion, Midwest Regional Champoin 12x, U.S. Champion Runner up 6x, and World Champion Runner up at Cowal Scotland. Kitty has been teaching children with her mother for over 18 years
and they also teach students at Macalester College in St. Paul, MN.
Growing up, Kitty had intense ballet training with the Minnesota Dance Theater, and having a mother as her teacher and a brother as a bagpiper, practicing at their home was a lot like doing homework!
They knew they had to do it a little everyday in order to get better! That is how Kitty came up with the idea for dancers to also have a teacher and bagpiper at home with them, and have some fun with
it!
